Rice Cooker Congee

I originally tried this with 1 cup of rice, but due to the high water ratio, it bubbled over and leaked a little through the lid. I would try 1/2 cup of rice.

Ingredients:
* 1/2 cup rice
* 3–4 cups water
* Salmon fillet
* Sliced ginger
* Chicken bouillon powder
* MSG, to taste
* Soy sauce, to taste

Optional toppings:
Pickled mustard greens, chili oil, green onions, and a drizzle of sesame oil

Small Batch blueberry Horchata

* 1 cup long grain rice
* 2 cups hot water
* 2 cinnamon sticks
* 1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk or more (adjust)
* 1/2 can of evaporated milk
* 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
* 2 cups water
* 1.5 cups blueberries

Soak rice with hot water and cinnamon sticks for 5+ hours.

SomiSomi just opened in Austin and I am so excited. 🥹 I used to go all the time when I lived in Dallas, so it’s so nice to finally have one here! You get a warm, crispy taiyaki filled with your choice of Nutella, black sesame, red bean, and more. Then topped with your pick of soft serve (or a swirl!) and finished with whatever toppings you want! The soft serve is incredibly smooth, and that crispy taiyaki cone is chef’s kiss. Definitely a must-try!

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for spice)
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp cumin
For the mango salsa:

1 ripe mango, diced
1 ripe avocado, diced
1 Roma tomato, deseeded and diced
¼ red onion, finely chopped
1 jalapeño, diced (optional for heat)
Juice of 1 lime
Fresh cilantro, to taste
Salt, to taste
