Have you ever had Vietnamese yogurt? It is slightly more custardy because it is often strained to remove the whey and is usually homemade in glass jars. It is not too sweet and has a slight tanginess. Seeing it come to life as an ice cream product at Costco was mind-blowing. I knew I had to support this Asian-owned business and pick up Costco Maven’s Tart Yogurt Ice Cream.

About Maven’s Creamery
It is a California-based ice cream brand known for its Asian-flavored ice cream products. The founders are two Vietnamese sisters, Gwen and Christine Nguyen. What’s impressive is that they prioritize quality ingredients, and their ice cream is made only from real fruit, with no artificial sweeteners.
Product Overview
Each pack comes with two small containers of ice cream for $16. Each container is 16 fl oz, making it approximately $8 per container.

Costco Maven’s Tart Yogurt Ice Cream Rating
Maven’s Tart Yogurt (kem đá ưa) tastes exactly like it sounds. They really nailed the tart yogurt profile down to a T. It tastes just like Vietnamese yogurt, and they did an amazing job mimicking it. The texture is creamy, not too sour, and perfectly slightly tart. If you like Vietnamese yogurt, I would highly recommend this ice cream product too! I can’t wait to try out the other ice cream flavors like black sesame, pandan coconut, and many more.
