A popular matcha chain just opened near Austin, known for its creative and fun flavor combos. Junbi’s menu features a wide range of fruity matcha drinks like strawberry, guava, and even mango. They also offer a taro matcha flavor. With existing locations in Houston, Hawaii, and California, let’s see what I thought of Junbi Matcha Cedar Park.

Junbi Cedar Park Rating
The Junbi Cedar Park shop is located in a plaza. The space is fairly small with only a few tables, so it is not the most study- or work-friendly spot. However, the bright yellow walls made it feel very welcoming, and it was nicely decorated.

Price:
We ordered two drinks: the Strawberry Matcha and the Sakura Miffy Matcha. I added boba to both drinks for an extra 75 cents, bringing the total to around $8 per drink.
Strawberry Matcha Latte:
love that they used fresh strawberries and made a sweet strawberry puree. It was a generous amount of strawberry puree in the overall drink. Unfortunately, it was on the sweeter side, which overpowered the matcha and made it taste more like strawberry milk to me. They do add a good maount of milk, so next time I might try adding an extra shot of matcha which is an additional charge. If you’re not a fan of strong, earthy matcha and prefer sweeter drinks, this one is probably just right for you!

Miffy Sakura Lychee Matcha Latte:
I personally found this drink to be more balanced; I could actually taste the matcha, and the lychee bits were a nice touch. It had a subtle floral aftertaste that I really enjoyed. This is such a cute collab, and it is only available for a limited time!
