Kukkia is a thin, lightly toasted wafer cookie sandwich that is filled with a smooth, slightly sweet whipped cream of various flavors. This tasty snack is a popular gift for occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, and weddings. The snack is light and airy with plenty of flavor! You can find Akai Bohshi Kukkia on various online sites like Amazon, but I found it at Costco! At Amazon, the current price is $29.99 before tax, while at Costco, it was $13.99 before tax; A steep discount for a great product in my opinion. Here is my review of Akai Boshi Kukkia Cookies!
Who makes Akai Bohshi Kukkia
Akai Bohshi or “Girl in Red Hat”, a popular Japanese baked good company, specializes in baking premium quality cookies from quality ingredients. Akai Bohshi has been making cookies since 1985! They pride themselves on their commitment to a quality product with quality ingredients from all over the world.
Akai Bohshi Kukkia Rating
The Akai Boshi Kukkia cookies from Costco come with 32 individually wrapped Kukkia cookies. There are four different flavors: Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Strawberry, and Green Tea. Overall, each of the flavors are distinct and pronounced. It is hard not to eat more than one cookie! Like most Asian snacks, they were not overly sweet, but you can definitely tell the quality of the ingredients in each cookie. They did not taste artificial like some other wafer cookies I have tried. This is a premium product at a great price($13.99 compared to Amazon at $29.99). I highly recommend you try these cookies if you see them at your local Costco.
