I have only tried the Samanco Binggrae red bean flavor and was instantly a fan. It is a fish-shaped ice cream with a wafer coat. Seeing that Costco is now selling a variety pack with three flavors, I wanted to try the strawberry and chocolate. Let’s see if all three Costco Binggrae Samanco flavors—and the variety pack overall—are worth the purchase.

Binggrae Samanco Product Overview
Each box comes with three smaller boxes. There are three flavors: red bean, strawberry, and chocolate. Each flavor includes four ice cream packages. This makes 12 ice cream packages per box. Each pack was $14.49, so the cost was approximately $1.21 per ice cream.

Rating and Review
These are some of my favorite Asian-branded ice creams. I love that Costco carries a variety pack so you can try different flavors. They all have the same basic vanilla ice cream, but the wafer shell is thin and crisp. It adds a nice texture and doesn’t get soggy quickly. The strawberry flavor has a sweet syrup layer that is not overly sweet or too artificial tasting. The chocolate has just the right amount of richness, and the red bean is probably the most popular. It has a red bean paste that adds a pleasant, slightly pasty texture, and it is also not too sweet.
