It is honestly mindblowing to see how Dubai chocolate has taken over! From candies and cookies to ice cream—and now, gelato—the range of Dubai chocolate products just keeps growing. As a self-proclaimed gelato lover, I knew I had to try the Dubai-style chocolate flavor for myself. Keep reading to see my thoughts on Costco Via Emilia’s Dubai Style Chocolate Gelato Bombs.
Product Overview
Each box costs around $14.99 and includes six gelato bombs. Individually paper-lined, each gelato bomb sits in a clear plastic dome for easy handling. Inside, you will find Italian chocolate and pistachio gelato with a creamy pistachio center. The exterior is coated in golden kadayif and sprinkled with pistachio crumble, making each bite as beautiful as it is delicious.

The innermost gelato of the dome is pistachio, surrounded by a rich chocolate gelato layer. The gelato was incredibly smooth, and the pistachio center added a lovely creamy texture. On the outside, the golden kadayif and pistachio crumble added visual appeal and a hint of texture. That said, the kadayif shell was not crunchy—it seems it does not hold up well after being frozen. If you are expecting the signature crispiness often found in Dubai chocolate desserts, this might be a bit of a letdown. Even so, I really enjoyed each bite of the gelato bomb. It was wonderfully balanced and not overly sweet, letting the flavors of pistachio and chocolate shine. I would definitely purchase this again.
