Kan Sushi is the newest spot in Austin’s AYCE sushi scene, and they are making waves with their quality and premium ingredients. With sister locations in Miami and Hawaii, they opened their very first Texas location in Austin. Read on for my review of Kan Sushi Austin.

Kan Sushi Austin Rating
Ambiance: Spacious | upscale with dim lighting | spacious | connected to GEN KBBQ

Price: $$
Cuisine: Japanese AYCE sushi with some Korean BBQ entree options
In my personal opinion, Kan Sushi is the best AYCE sushi spot in Austin. Pricing is $26.95 for lunch, $38.95 for dinner, or an additional $20 for the premium experience—which is what I went with. You are given a sheet to mark down your selections from the menu. You get three rounds, and you can order as much as you like. With the premium option, I focused on the elevated items like carpaccio, truffle salmon sushi, premium sashimi, and specialty tapas to get my money’s worth.
Don’t worry! Kan Sushi also offers an extensive selection from the regular menu with around 16 different types of appetizers, salads, 4 noodle choices, and at least 20 different sushi rolls. The fish was high quality and all the sashimi pieces melted in my mouth. You can also order cocktails for an additional price.

Below are some of the items I ordered:
Miso Soup:

Nigiri:

Carpaccio:

Sashimi:

Takoyaki:

Shrimp Tempura:

Hamachi Kama (this is the most popular tapa, so I recommend ordering this right away. It always sell out in their other locations):

Sushi Rolls (always come with a few pieces, so you can have room to try other sushi rolls!):
