Inspired by this, I decided to experiment with other fruits like watermelon. You can also use this microwave watermelon tanghulu recipe with other fruits; just be sure to add the fruit to a skewer.
What is Tanghulu?
Tangulu is a traditional Chinese snack—created during the Southern Song Dynasty—which consists of crispy sugar-coated Chinese hawthorn on a skewer. Nowadays, you mainly see different sugar-coated fruits like strawberries, mandarin oranges, and grapes—to name a few.
