I love air fryer recipes since they are a healthier alternative to deep-frying without sacrificing crunch! These air fryer chicken wings turn out super crispy, thanks to a simple trick: pat-drying the wings and adding baking powder. It lowers the pH and helps create that golden, crackly skin we all love. If you are craving wings, this easy crispy air fryer wings recipe is worth trying!

Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs chicken wings

Crispy Air Fryer Wings Instructions
Pat dry the chicken wings thoroughly to remove excess moisture (this helps them get extra crispy).
Add wings to a large bowl.
Sprinkle in onion powder, paprika, lemon pepper, salt, and baking powder. Toss until evenly coated.
(Optional but recommended) Place wings in the fridge for 30 minutes to dry out the skin for even crispier results.

Spray your air fryer basket lightly with oil.
Add wings in a single layer.

Air fry at 400°F for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Remove and (optional) toss with extra lemon pepper for more flavor.
Serve hot and enjoy that crispy perfection!

Air Fryer Wings Storage
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
You can freeze for up to two months. Just reheat in the air fryer at 375 for around 5-8 minutes.
Crispy Air Fryer Wings Tips
Do not overcrowd the air fryer so you can get optimal crispiness.
Flip halfway for even cooking.
Use baking powder, not baking soda since it raises the skin’s pH levels and helps achieve the crispiness.
Use a meat thermometer if needed. Chicken is done when the internal temperature is 165F.
Substitutes
Baking Powder –> 1/2 tsp baking soda + 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
Oil Spray –> Lightly brush the wings with oil
