Cook the spaghetti noodles in a pot according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water.
Drizzle olive oil into a pan and add garlic. Sauté for 1 minute or until fragrant.
Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the pan, along with salt and red pepper flakes. Cook the tomatoes for about 5-7 minutes, until they begin to soften.
Add tomato paste and stir until well combined.
Pour in the reserved pasta water and cook until the sauce has melded together.
Add the cooked noodles to the tomato sauce and stir until completely coated.
Stir in fresh basil leaves and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Plate the pasta and garnish with whole basil leaves.
Add the burrata cheese on top.
