How to Cook Purple Rice in Rice Cooker

A simple blend of short-grain rice, black rice, and barley cooked in a rice cooker for a hearty, nutty, and wholesome side dish. Perfect for everyday meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup short-grain rice
  • 1/4 cup black rice
  • 3 tbsp barley

Instructions

  • Add the short-grain rice, black rice, and barley to the rice cooker pot.
  • Rinse and drain thoroughly.
  • Add 1 3/4 cups of water and let soak for 30 minutes.
  • Cook using the white rice setting.
  • Once finished, fluff the rice gently.
  • Enjoy!
