Healthy Air Fryer Chicken Nuggets

Ingredients

  • * 1–1.5 lb chicken breast
  • * 1 egg
  • * 1 tsp salt
  • * ½ tsp garlic powder
  • * ½ tsp black pepper
  • * 1 tsp paprika
  • Coating
  • * ½ cup flour
  • * ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • * 1 egg beaten
  • * 2 tsp paprika
  • * 1 tsp salt
  • * 1 tsp black pepper
  • * Cooking spray or oil spray

Instructions

  • * Add chicken breast to a blender or food processor.
  • * Add 1 egg, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika.
  • * Pulse until the chicken is fully blended.
  • * Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • * Shape the chicken mixture into nuggets and place on the sheet.
  • * Freeze for 30 minutes to firm them up for easier handling.
  • * In a bowl, mix the flour, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • * Set up a breading station: seasoned flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs.
  • * Dip each nugget first in the flour mixture, then the beaten egg, and finally the breadcrumbs.
  • * Preheat the air fryer and lightly spray with oil.
  • * Place nuggets in a single layer and air fry at 400°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
  • * Let cool slightly and enjoy your crispy, homemade chicken nuggets!
