Caramelized Dates Yogurt Bowl with Olive Oil Drizzle Recipe

Warm caramelized dates cooked in olive oil are paired with creamy Greek yogurt and finished with a drizzle of olive oil and flaky salt for a simple, sweet-and-savory dessert or snack.

Ingredients

  • Medjool dates or any soft dates
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Greek yogurt
  • Flaky salt

Instructions

  • Heat a small pan over medium heat and drizzle in a generous splash of olive oil.
  • Slice or gently tear the dates in half and remove the pits.
  • Place the dates cut-side down in the pan. Cook until they become soft, golden, and caramelized. Flip and lightly sear the other side.
  • Remove from heat and let them cool slightly.
  • Spoon Greek yogurt into a bowl and top with the warm caramelized dates.
  • Drizzle with a little fresh olive oil or use the flavorful date-infused oil left in the pan.
  • Finish with a pinch of flaky salt.
