Best Iced Strawberry Matcha

Ingredients

  • Strawberry Syrup Ingredients:
  • * 2 cups strawberries hulled and chopped
  • * ¼ cup sugar
  • * 3–4 tbsp water
  • Matcha Ingredients:
  • * 3g matcha powder
  • * 2 oz water about 160°F / 70°C
  • * Milk of your choice
  • * Ice

Instructions

  • In a pan, combine the chopped strawberries, sugar, and water.
  • Cook over medium heat for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries break down.
  • Strain the mixture into a clean jar and let it cool completely.
  • Sift the matcha into a bowl.
  • Add around 2 ounces of water and whisk into a smooth paste.
  • Gradually add the remaining water and whisk until frothy.
  • In a glass, pour 2 tbsp of strawberry syrup.
  • Add ice and milk.
  • Pour in the prepared matcha.
  • Stir gently and enjoy!
