Asian Garlic Butter Shrimp Noodles

Ingredients

  • Shanghai noodles or any thick wheat noodles
  • Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 8 cloves garlic minced
  • Green onions chopped (reserve some for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • White or black pepper to taste
  • Salt for seasoning shrimp
  • Parmesan cheese optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and a pinch of white pepper. Set aside.
  • Season the shrimp lightly with salt. Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side, until pink and just cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add butter. Once melted, sauté garlic and green onions until fragrant.
  • Add the cooked noodles to the pan. Pour in the sauce and toss until noodles are evenly coated.
  • Return the shrimp to the pan and gently toss everything together.
  • Garnish with remaining green onions and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve hot.
