Air Fryer Shrimp Toast

Crispy golden shrimp toast made in the air fryer—stuffed with a savory shrimp paste and served with sweet chili sauce. An easy, healthier twist on the classic dim sum appetizer.
Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • * 4 slices white sandwich bread crusts trimmed
  • * ½ lb shrimp about 8–10 jumbo, peeled & deveined
  • * 1 green onion finely chopped
  • * 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • * 2 clove garlic minced
  • * ½ egg white
  • * ½ tsp sesame oil
  • * ¼ tsp salt
  • * 1/2 tsp MSG
  • * 1.5 tsp cornstarch
  • * Oil Spray
  • * Sweet Chili Sauce

Instructions

  • * In a blender, combine shrimp, green onion, soy sauce, garlic, egg white, sesame oil, salt, MSG, and cornstarch. Pulse until a coarse paste forms. (Alternatively, finely chop the shrimp and mix with the seasonings by hand.)
  • * Spread half of the shrimp mixture evenly over one slice of bread. Place another slice of bread on top, pressing gently to seal. Repeat with the remaining filling and bread.
  • * Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil. Place the shrimp toasts inside and spray the tops with more oil.
  • * Air fry at 375°F for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the shrimp filling is fully cooked and the bread is golden.
  • * Serve hot with sweet chili sauce or spicy mayo for dipping.
