Creamy Mushroom Soup

The perfect comforting and creamy soup

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of mushrooms approximately 400g or more - Can be any type of mushroom-like portabello, crimini, etc.
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 whole onion finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Paprika to taste
  • Cayenne pepper to taste
  • Thyme to taste
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 3 cups vegetable broth or chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • In a pot, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic, chopped onions, sauté until softened.
  • Add mushrooms and continue cooking until they release their juices.
  • Season with salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, and thyme (or your preferred herbs) for an added flavor.
  • Sprinkle flour evenly over the mixture and stir well.
  • Pour in vegetable broth and water, allowing the mixture to heat up.
  • Add the heavy cream, stirring continuously for a rich and creamy consistency.
  • Allow the soup to simmer for a few more minutes until it reaches your desired thickness.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Serve hot and enjoy the creamy mushroom soup!
