Love is in the air, and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! Treat your special someone to these rich, indulgent, and chocolatey brownies. This delicious Valentine’s brownies recipe will impress and make your Valentine’s celebration even sweeter!
Brownie Tips
- Do not overmix the batter. If you overmix, the brownies will come out dry.
- If you want a more fudgy brownie, use less flour.
- Use a mix of brown and white sugar for a more chewy brownie. The brown sugar introduces more moisture.
- For a richer taste, you can add around 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp espresso powder.
- When inserting a toothpick to check if the brownies are done, look for wet crumbs. If the toothpick comes out dry, the brownies are overbaked.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup Valentine’s Peanut Butter M&M’s
- 2 tablespoons festive sprinkles
Valentine’s Brownies Instructions
In a heatproof bowl, melt the butter and chocolate chips together, stirring until smooth. You can use the microwave method or double boiler method.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until light and slightly fluffy.
Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.
Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gently fold everything together until just combined—don’t overmix!
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle M&M’s and sprinkles on top
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Enjoy
