I’ve had the Trader Joe’s chocolate croissants, and I pick them up whenever I run out. I feel like they are comparable to those from some local bakeries! They are one of my favorite frozen desserts from Trader Joe’s. The only downside is that you need to proof them for 9 hours. Since I typically go for the chocolate croissants, I wanted to switch it up with the almond ones. Read on to see my thoughts on the Trader Joe’s almond croissants!

About Trader Joe’s Almond Croissants
Each box comes with 4 frozen croissants and costs $5.99. These croissants are made with butter and have a rich almond filling, topped with almond flakes. All you need to do is remove the croissants from the package, let them proof for 9 hours, and they should triple in size.

I give the Trader Joe’s Almond Croissants a perfect rating. They’re just as good as the chocolate variation. The texture was incredibly airy and buttery, with super crispy edges. The croissant baked to a beautiful brown and golden color in the oven. The almond filling was rich and not overly sweet. The only downside is that you need to plan, as they require 9 hours to proof.
