This is the only place I know in Texas that sells only yubu or a Korean snack made of seasoned rice with various toppings stuffed into fried tofu pockets. Think of it as sushi wrapped in fried tofu. Neko Yubu, a takeout-only spot in Dallas, Texas, recently went viral on social media. So when I found myself in town, I knew I had to give it a try. Read on to see if Neko Yubu Dallas is worth it.

Neko Yubu Dallas Rating
I ordered ahead online, and it was ready right when I arrived for pickup. It took about 20 minutes for the order to be prepared after checkout. The box of six was $18, with an additional charge for premium items, such as an extra 25 cents for torched salmon. This comes out to about $3–4 per yubu. The tofu skin was delicate and sweet, the rice had a perfect texture and was nicely seasoned, and all the ingredients were fresh. I definitely recommend this spot for a quick and easy meal.

Egg Mayo: A true classic. The egg mayo was wonderfully creamy and airy. This is easily my favorite of the bunch. The egg mayo was creamy and fluffy.

Torched Salmon: The torching gave it a nice smoky depth that made each bite extra savory.

Raw Salmon: The salmon was fresh, though the overall texture combination of the salmon and rice leaned a bit too soft for my liking.

Spicy Pork: I don’t eat pork, but my brother said this was full of flavor.

Butter Crab: This was pretty good. You can’t go wrong with imitation crab and mayo combo.

:
Tuna: This was my least favorite, but my boyfriend’s favorite. I found it a bit dry, but this opinion is subjective!

This is a take-out–only spot, so there is no seating, not even outdoor seating. The parking lot is spacious, so you won’t ever have to worry about finding a spot.
