Coin cheese bread is a popular street food in Korea. It’s a coin-shaped bread filled with cheese, typically featuring a subtle sweetness. Packed with mozzarella, it delivers that addictive cheese pull everyone loves. You no longer have to travel to Korea to try it — the 10 Won Coin Cheese Bread is available at HMart!

10 Won Coin Cheese Bread Origin
It was originally sold in Gyeongju’s Hwangnidan-gil shopping street and quickly gained popularity through Korean with different versions like 50 won in Jeonju and 100 won bread in Tongyeong. It’s popularity spread worldwide and can be found in some Korean markets and cafes in the US. You might even see the 10 yen coin cheese bread in Japan or 10 cent bread in Hong Kong.
Hmart 10 Won Coin Cheese Bread Rating
I’ve never had the real thing, so I can’t do a proper comparison — but the 10 Won Coin Cheese Bread was a fun snack to eat! The exterior was crispy, and the filling was super cheesy. If you’re a cheese lover, you will probably love this snack. Otherwise, it might be a bit too much cheese for some. The filling also had little bits of corn, adding a nice, subtle sweetness. Since it is made with mozzarella, you really can’t go wrong with it. It was on sale at my local Hmart for $1.99.
