After the viral success of Costco’s hazelnut chocolate beignets, it looks like they’ve released a caramel version! I never got a chance to try the hazelnut ones in-store — maybe they sold out before I made it to the stores — but I was able to get my hands on the caramel version. Now, let us find out if Costco mini caramel filled beignets are a hit or a miss!

Product Overview
Each pack costs $9.99 and comes with 22 small caramel-filled beignets from the bakery section.

Costco Mini Caramel Filled Beignets Rating and Review
Hit | Miss
I was pleasantly surprised by these. The beignets were light and airy, lightly dusted with powdered sugar, though they resembled donut holes more than classic beignets. The caramel filling was not thick like I expected—it explodes when you bite into it, making them a bit messy to eat. They aredefinitely sweet, but that’s exactly what you would expect from a caramel-filled beignet. All in all, a solid hit.
