If you’re like me, you love a nice ice cream sandwich. I remember as a child, I used to eat the classic vanilla ice cream sandwiches that you could get at the grocery store. These La Menorquina Chocolate Honeycomb Sandwiches immediately caught my eye as I was walking down the frozen snacks aisle. The word ‘Honeycomb’ was bold and prominent on the packaging. I couldn’t help but take a look, and I buy the Costco La Menorquina Chocolate Honeycomb Sandwich.

Product History and Heritage
The first iteration of the ice cream sandwich was first noticed in 1899 by street vendors in New York. These vendors sold ice cream between sheets of paper and dubbed them ‘hokey pokeys.’ Later on, they replaced the sheets of paper with cookies. Fun fact: the earliest U.S. patent related to ice cream sandwiches was granted in 1921 to Russell H. Proper for an ‘Ice Cream Sandwich Machine.’ Now, we have National Ice Cream Sandwich Day, which has been celebrated on August 2 since 2005.
Costco La Menorquina Chocolate Honeycomb Sandwich Overview
The La Menorquina Chocolate Honeycomb Sandwich is a modern adaptation of the traditional ice cream sandwich. It is much larger than the original ice cream sandwiches I grew up with. One half is covered in chocolate with embedded sugar bits, while the other half resembles the classic ice cream sandwich with biscuits.

Costco La Menorquina Chocolate Honeycomb Sandwich Rating and Review
Taste/Quality: The ice cream was smooth and creamy, with distinct caramel flavors and specks of sugar bits throughout the sandwich. The biscuit half reminded me of Biscoff speculoos cookies but was on the softer side, like traditional ice cream sandwiches. The chocolate-covered side was similar to Häagen-Dazs chocolate-covered ice creams. In my opinion, the Costco La Menorquina Chocolate Honeycomb Sandwich is a little too sweet for me, but if you enjoy a decadent sweet treat, this might be for you.

Packaging: Each ice cream sandwich is individually packaged and features an image of the product inside.

Value for Money: I think this product offers good value for money. At a little over a dollar per sandwich, you get a generous serving of dessert.
Pros:
- Unique caramel flavor with sugar bits
- Combination of a chocolate-covered half and a traditional ice cream sandwich half

Cons:
- May be too sweet for some people
Recommendation: Overall, I liked the product, but I probably wouldn’t buy it again because it was too sweet for me. That said, it is definitely a high-quality product, and I think most people would enjoy it. Lately, I’ve been trying to eat fewer sweets, which may have influenced my perception of its sweetness.
