Costco’s Fried Tofu and Vegetable Kimbap is priced at $18.79 for a pack, equating to approximately $3.13 per roll. In comparison, Trader Joe’s version is slightly higher at $3.99 per roll. Based on my memory, Costco’s kimbap is sweeter and more savory. Additionally, it is tightly rolled, whereas the Trader Joe’s version tends to break more easily. Since the radish is steamed, it loses its crunchiness.

Rice Cooker Hainanese Chicken Rice

Ingredients:
2 cups rice
Just under 2 cups of water or chicken stock
3-4 chicken thighs
Sesame oil
Salt
1 tablespoon minced ginger
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons minced shallots
Neutral oil
1/2 teaspoon turmeric (optional, for color)
1/2 tbsp Chicken dashi if you didn’t use chicken stock
Chopped green onions

Chili Sauce (you can use a food processor):
4 Thai chilis or red long chilis
5 cloves garlic
3 slices ginger
Salt
Juice of 1/2 lime
1 teaspoon rice vinegar (adjust to taste)
1/2 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons chicken broth or water

Shallot Ginger Sauce:
2 parts chopped green onions to 3 parts chopped ginger
Hot oil

Make cheesy, crispy tater tots with @jarlsberg_ cheese. It’s a great appetizer to share with your friends or loved ones.

Ingredients:
1 whole onion
3 russet potatoes
Salt
Garlic powder
2 tbsp cornstarch
Jarlsberg cheese
Green chilis
1 tsp sugar

Caramelized Onions Instructions:
🧅Chop the whole onion.
🧅Drizzle the oil in a pan over medium heat and add the onions.
🧅Season with salt.
🧅Cook for a few minutes until softened, then splash with water.
🧅Continue cooking until onions are translucent, sprinkle with sugar, and cook until browned.

Tator Tot Instructions:
🧀Peel and cut potatoes into large sections.
🧀Boil potatoes in water for about 8 minutes until tender but firm.
🧀Transfer potatoes to cold water to cool, then shred them.
🧀Season shredded potatoes with salt and garlic powder. Add cornstarch.
🧀Shape the mixture into tator tots.
🧀Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
🧀Spray oil in the air fryer basket and arrange tater tots in a single layer.
🧀Air fry for 15 minutes until crispy and golden.
🧀Plate the tater tots and sprinkle with grated Jarlsberg cheese.
🧀Allow the heat of the tots to melt the cheese; if needed, microwave for 15 seconds.
🧀Top with caramelized onions and chopped green chilis for added flavor.

Thai Tea French Press Method

Ingredients:
4 tbsp Thai tea leaves
1 cup boiling hot water
1-3 tbsp condensed milk (adjust to taste)
Half and half, to taste
Ice cubes

Instructions:
Place Thai tea leaves into the French press.
Pour boiling water over the leaves and let steep for 5 minutes.
Gently press down the plunger of the French press.
In a separate cup, add desired amount of condensed milk.
Pour the brewed Thai tea into the cup with condensed milk and stir well.
Add ice cubes to cool down the tea.
Finish by adding half and half to your liking.
Stir once more and enjoy your refreshing Thai tea!
