Samyang’s Buldak Spicy Noodles took the world by storm when it suddenly became an internet challenge. A few years ago, Buldak Spicy Noodles was popularized through the spicy noodle challenge. The challenge tested the participant’s spice tolerance by eating the whole package.
Samyang is a South Korean household name established in 1961. Due to the food shortage in the 1960s, Samyang attempted to create ramen as one of the solutions. Since then, ramen became a food staple in South Korean homes. One of their more recent products, Buldak Spicy Noodles, is a leading global K-Food product in multiple locations such as China and SE Asia. Their Buldak series received immense success, which is evident through all the product variety: Buldak 2X spice, Buldak Carbonara, Buldak Cheese Ramen, Buldak Fried Rice, Buldak dumplings, etc.
Buldak Cream Carbonara Rating
I bought the Buldak Cream Carbonara at Hmart, but if you don’t have an Asian mart nearby, you can buy a 5-pack on Amazon.com for $10.88. I gave it a five-star because this is now on my top three favorite ramen list. It’s cheesy, creamy, spicy, and slightly sweet, making it highly addictive. The thicker noodles clung to the spicy sauce well. It’s pretty sauce for your average Joe, but it’s more tamed compared to the original flavor.
Nutrition Facts
Buldak Ramen Carbonara is on the higher end of calories and fat. It is 470 calories, 21 grams fat, 63 grams carbohydrates, and 7 grams of protein. The spicy packet and cheese packet add to the unhealthiness. But once in a while won’t hurt you. These were pretty filling compared to other ramen brands out there like Mama’s.
