I was stunned when I learned the churros from the food court were gone and replaced by these giant Costco Chocolate Chip cookies. I knew I had to try these viral double chocolate chip cookies because Costco never fails to disappoint in creating delicious food court menu items!
Costco Chocolate Chip Cookies Ratings
This caloric-dense giant cookie was delicious for a grocery store bakery item! When my cookie was ready, it came out warm, wrapped in a brown paper sleeve. The edges were crisp, and the inside was gooey from the overload of chocolate chips. Since I am a chocolate fanatic, I enjoyed the amount of chocolate chips packed within a cookie; I can see how others might consider this cookie too decadent for their tastebuds. The cookie had a blend of semisweet and bittersweet chocolate chips. Some may say the $2.49 price is too high compared to the other food court items since you can get a hot dog combo for $1.50, but considering the price of chocolate chips, butter, and eggs and the giant size of the cookie, I would say it is worth the value. I definitely took this cookie home and ate it with a glass of milk.
Nutrition
No wonder the Costco chocolate chip cookie is so addictively good! These cookies come from so much butter and sugar. The hefty 7-inch size made the cookies come out to a whopping 750 calories. It is shocking because it has more calories than a slice of pepperoni pizza from the Costco food court, which happens to be 620 calories. I definitely could not eat this in one sitting and had to save the rest of the cookie for later.
